HSAC – J.Long Shield – Salthouse 16/11/08
18 of November 2008
The ten anglers who fished the HSAC match at Salthouse, struggled to find the few remaining sizeable fish as a fairly stiff Northwesterly forced the main Whiting shoals offshore.
The odd Flounder showed to the west of the carpark, but it was obviously going to be one of those days with mainly small dab being caught, most of these were under the HSAC size limit of 23cm.
The only real success of the day came to Dene Conway and overall match winner Richard Ives who walked the furthest West and found a small pocket of larger Dab lying between the shallows. Henry Randell also benefitted from this ‘hotspot’, finishing in third place behind Dene.
HSAC welcomed newcomer Tim Hunt from peterborough today, -Â he finished a very respectable sixth overall and thoroughly enjoyed his day out. We look forward to seeing him again soon
